young leader training

Training often takes place on a Young Leader Training Weekend but can be a series of evening meetings. There you will meet with other Young Leaders and take part in various activities and discussions to give you the chance to get the skills you need to be a great leader.

Intermediate Young Leaders:

• In school Year 11 or higher before you start
• Have completed the Foundation Young Leader Training
• Will complete the Faith Issues from the Young Leader Training Programme.
• Will complete the Practical Module from the Young Leader Training Programme including spending 6 weeks working with a group of children.
• Will complete at least another 3 modules from the Young Leader Programme.
• Will be able to receive a badge and certificate on completion of this Level.

Advanced Young Leaders:

• In at least school Year 12 or equivalent before you start
• Have completed the Intermediate Young Leader Training
• Will complete all 7 of the modules from the Young Leader Programme.
• Will be showing ongoing commitment to the Christian faith.
• Will be able to receive a badge and certificate on completion of this Level.

Young Leader Training takes you through 3 levels.

Foundation Young Leaders:

• In school Year 10 or higher before you start
• Have completed the GB knowledge syllabus in the SPES files before you start.
• Will complete the Faith Issues from the Young Leader Training Programme.
• Will complete the Practical Module from the Young Leader Training Programme including spending 6 weeks working with a group of children.
• Will complete at least another 2 modules from the Young Leader Programme.
• Will be able to receive a badge and certificate on completion of this Level
