Girls’ Brigade England and Wales is an Operating Authority for the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme, which means that Companies can work for DofE Awards through G.B. if they’d like to. The Award Scheme has it’s own website where full information about the Scheme can be found:

Reminder
Please be aware that the GA4 style form has now been superceeded by the new GA5 form. This will automatically be sent to you, in replacement, when your Gold Award has been processed by GBCO. This change took effect as of February 2008. Please destroy any remaining GA4 style forms that you may hold.
Note to all D of E Leaders
The new ID/Discount Cards to replace the existing ones, which were originally supplied in the Bronze Record Book Packs upon starting the Award, have now arrived at GBCO.
I am starting the process of distributing these Cards to cover all the Companies currently taking an active part in the Award. These will be sent directly to the District Commissioner rather than individual Companies to alleviate the pressures on postage. Upon receipt of these new cards could you please distribute to all your relevant participants so that they may benefit Please note that there is no change to the participants originally assigned ID Number. Replacement cards will also be issued when placing any new orders for Record Book Packs at any level
If for any reason you do not receive your new card(s), please contact Theresa Clifton at GBCO on ext.311 or email: theresac@girlsbrigadeew.org.uk who will be more than happy to issue the amount required to you.
Wales Expedition Assessment Services (Snowdonia & Beacons)
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award in Wales is very pleased to announce that a partnership with the Mountain Training Trust has led to Plas y Brenin the National Mountain Centre taking over the provision of an Expedition Assessment Service for Snowdonia and surrounding areas.
