awards

I will never forget…

The memories of D of E expeditions – weird blisters, finding a place to go to the loo and the friends I made

Helping out with Sunday school – I am still helping now!

Organising a Christmas Princess party – It turned out really well!

The amount of fun I had learning the cymbals

The feeling of relief and pride, when I finished.

The most important thing I have learnt.

Teamwork and responsibility

Try, try and try again

To take new take risks and accept new challenge

Time keeping and the ability to keep smiling

To use my initiative

Perseverance

People just starting an Award should:

Be ready and willing to accept new challenges and meet new people

Be aware how much work it will be and make sure you are prepared for the time commitment

Try to be brave in starting something new and enjoy yourself. It can feel like a lot of work at times but it is worth it.

Have fun and smile it might be hard but think what you are achieving

People do an award for lots of different reasons but the most important reason to get involved is because you will enjoy it. Let’s face it: there’s no point in doing an Award if you don’t have some fun along the way.

Everyone gets different things out of doing an award but there are some common benefits which we’ve listed here...
